GRUPO FANTASMA

"The legendary PRINCE understood this by taking them to his club before taking them on these world tours."

Grupo Fantasma is an original psychedelic Latin band big band that travels in salsa, merengue and cumbia with some escapades to tex-mex on ultra-urban accordion scents. This Austin Texas training, eyeing Cuba in Mexico, with a sense of syncope slowed down that would not disown the old great soneros. With, as a bonus, a powerfull that was rather rare in the new salsa generations and groovy tones that renew the coppery sway with great flights of iconoclastic guitars supported by pleasant voices and arrangements beyond routine.

With two Grammy Awards; The Wall Street Journal describes Latin music as both new and traditional - vibrant mergers that transcend classification. Has brought the group to major international festivals such as WOMEX, WOMAD, LATINO TEMPO, THE ESCALES, THE INTERCELTICS, NORTH SEA JAZZ, LOWLAND, O2 ARENA, JAZZALDIA, POLE POLE, MALMO FEST, DRANOUTER, MONTREAL JAZZ, Bonnaroo, Kennedy Center, Austin City Limits ...

Their great pride was to have collaborated and accompanied the legendary PRINCE on these great concerts (Alma Awards ABC, Golden Globes, CBS Super Bowl, 21 nights in London ...) As the pianist Larry Harlow of FANIA ALL STARS, GZA of WU-TANG CLAN, MACEO PARKER and Curt Kirkwood of Meats Muppets, Los Lobos and many others ....

«A sound done so right that you have to hand the crown to this group.» Huffington Post
